Safeguarding
Our safeguarding policy is an umbrella policy that encompasses many of our practices and procedures to ensure children are safe from harm. At Oak Lee, it is our duty to protect the children within our care from abuse and maltreatment, including child protection, recruitment of suitable people, medication, accidents, illness and emergencies, suitability of the premises and equipment, health and safety.
All of our staff team receive thorough Safeguarding training as part of their induction, which is refreshed regularly to ensure they receive up to date knowledge of safeguarding issues and are fully aware of our policies and procedures. Our designated safeguarding officers, who hold an Advanced Safeguarding qualification, are available at all times and take lead responsibility.
