At the start of the year, we celebrated Chinese New Year and were also were very pleased to welcome Becky back from maternity leave with her little boy, Harry.
In February, some children visited the residents of the Boyne Care Home on Valentine’s Day and gave them some lovely gifts and cards. We have also sent the residents a big hamper of goodies and cards for Christmas and we hope to see them again soon when safe to do so.
Unfortunately, we had to say “see you soon” to many in March, but were very glad to see so many of you join us on zoom! All the teachers did brilliantly working online and learning new skills. All of our Oak Lee children and parents also did well joining us in a range of activities, learning new crafts, doing experiments and singing. Another massive well done to all the staff who worked at the nursery throughout lockdown with the keyworker families; your care and attention has not been overlooked!
We were then very happy to see you all back again in June, along with some new faces who stayed with us after lockdown!
During the Summer, we said a fond farewell to the Oak Lee Class of 2020. The graduations may have been very different this year, but one thing remained the same- they are always an emotional event!
After tearful goodbyes, we then said hello to many new families! We have had children join us throughout the Summer and Autumn and can’t wait to see more children join us in the new year- we welcome you all to the Oak Lee family!
In August, we were happy to announce to you that Scarlett had welcomed a lovely baby boy, Sidney. Mum and baby are doing very well.
During August, the Oak Lee team also worked very hard behind the scenes to get our new logo and website ready for everyone to see. The updated photos of children, staff and the new design has been a hit and we are all so happy with how it’s turned out. Remember to stay tuned to the news tab to see insights into Oak Lee life.
At the beginning of September, we were very pleased to announce that Katy had given birth to a beautiful baby girl, Isla. We can’t wait to see them again in March 2021.
